This sculptural embroidery was inspired by the Rifleman (Titipounamu). It is the smallest bush bird found in New Zealand, and one of the cutest I've ever seen! I've encountered many on hikes around the mountains and beech forests. Their call is high-pitched squeaks, that remind of little puffballs bouncing around the branches above while they catch tiny insects. This sculpture shows the male's plumage.
This embroidery is made up of hundreds of tiny stitches, done by machine, then finished by hand embroidery.
It is framed in a white frame, and is mounted onto foam board, and uses high grade glass that offers ultimate clarity with reduced reflection and has 99% UV protection from the sun to help protect your embroidery.
Measures: Height: 40cm x Wide: 38cm x Depth: 4.5cm.
Framed and ready to be hung.
