Daucus carota, whose common names include wild carrot, bird's nest, bishop's lace, and Queen Anne's lace, is a stunning white flower that evolves into different shapes throughout the seasons. I have plenty of these weeds along the paddocks next to my property, where I can study the different formations. These flowers are associated with beauty, in the hopes of attracting love, they symbolise safety, sanctuary and refuge. During a particular time of the year, the flowers have a pinkish tinge in which I have designed in this sculpture.
