I am captivated by species under the sea. New Zealand is home to approximately 1400 species of fish, 1000 types of seaweeds, 1500 species of sponges, and 3600 species of mollusc, not to mention hundreds of jellyfish, anemones and corals. Many of the species are endemic to New Zealand, found nowhere else in the world, making them incredibly special and unique.
This artwork features (from left):
Aulactinia veratra (green anemone), Diadumene neozealandica (striped anemone), Clavelina (bluebell seasquirts).
Carefully pinned onto perspex rods, and encased in a clear acrylic box like preserved museum specimens.
This measures:
Height: 32cm
Width: 32cm
Depth: 10cm.
Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
