This piece is my sculpted thread version of the intricate lush growth patterns of mosses, lichens and fungi found deep in New Zealand's broadleaf forests. Featuring the species of Mycena subviscosa fungi, entwined in moss.
Every fungi I create is meticulously studied and copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.
Each mushroom is carefully pinned to black perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.
This measures:

Depth:Â 7cm.
Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
