NZ Brown Kiwi 3D Thread Sculpture.

This sculpture was inspired by the North Island Brown Kiwi (Apteryx australis) the most iconic endemic bird of New Zealand.  If you look closely, you will see the long and distinguishable whiskers, that help the kiwi navigate through the dense bush at night.  Also shown here is the Blechnum fern, found throughout New Zealand.

This is made up of hundreds of tiny stitches, using many forms of stitch work.

It is framed in a white boxed frame, with museum grade glass that offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection and has 99% UV protection from the sun to help protect your embroidery.
