The Kawakawa tree is commonly found throughout New Zealand and is well known to the Maori for its long history of medicinal use. The Kawakawa leaf heart shaped leaves are boiled in a pot to create a herbal tonic. The embroidery shows the common holes left by the cheeky nocturnal caterpillar that feasts on it at night.
This is hand made in New Zealand.
Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and high grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.
The embroidery is made up of hundreds of tiny stitches, made on a sewing machine, and finished by hand embroidery.
Size is: 22cm x 23cm x3.5cm depth. Framed and ready to be hung.
