Kauri bark 3D Thread Sculpture.

I adore trekking through New Zealand's national parks and remote native forests.  I'm attracted to the many textured patterns of bark.  Kauri trees are commonly found in the upper North Island of New Zealand, and I'm very fortunate to have a lot on my property.  

Carefully pinned onto locally sourced pine wood, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved museum specimen.
