This Kakapo sculptural embroidery is hand made in New Zealand.
I was inspired by the rare Kakapo, a New Zealand flightless, nocturnal parrot, for this beautiful embroidery. I have been lucky enough to meet one of these parrots in a special breeding area that is safe and predator free.
The embroidery is made up of hundreds of tiny stitches, made on a sewing machine, and finished by hand embroidery.
It is framed in a white frame, and is mounted onto foam board, and uses high grade glass that offers ultimate clarity with reduced reflection and has 99% UV protection from the sun to protect your embroidery.
Measures: 22x22x4.5cm depth. Framed and ready to be hung.
