This Kaka embroidery is totally handmade with love.

It is an endemic bird of New Zealand, a medium sized stocky parrot, that is now unfortunately endangered and confined to remote forested areas, our fenced sanctuaries and off-shore islands.

Each bird is stitched completely by hand, using specialised techniques.  Every design is unique, and I only make one of each bird.

It is carefully pinned onto perspex, and encased in an acrylic box like a preserved museum specimen.  Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.

Ready to be mounted and hung on the wall.
