Egg Ribbon 3D Thread Sculpture.

The Poor Knights Islands near New Zealand are home to many incredible species, such as molluscs, where I found great inspiration for this sculpture.  This piece is of a sea lemon egg sac or egg ribbon, made up of thousands of tiny eggs.  Based on the species Fiona Pinnata.  The eggs are laid in amazing wavy, delicate floral formations.  Each egg mass laid, contains around 35,000 eggs!

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and museum grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.
