These embroideries are based upon a common brown seaweed found in New Zealand (Psilophycus alveatus).  Exploring the upper North regions of New Zealand, I photographed and took sketches of all sorts of interesting seaweeds amongst the inter-tidal areas.  

It is completely hand made in New Zealand, and made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches.

Professionally framed using a "white" boxed frame and high grade museum glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

Measures:  45cm x 33cm x 4.5cm depth.  Framed and ready to be hung.

Each artwork comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
