Orange pore fungi and lichen 3D Thread Sculpture.

I adore trekking through New Zealand's national parks and remote native forests.  I'm attracted to the many textured patterns of bark, and colourful fungi that I find fascinating.  This is my sculpted thread version of the orange pore fungus (favolaschia claudopus) growing on a branchlet, and black stoneflower lichen (parmotrema perlatum) growing on a piece of bark.  

Carefully pinned onto locally sourced pine wood, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved museum specimen.

Depth:  7cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
