Native branchlet and lichen 3D Thread Sculpture.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of an intriguing species of bark found from an old Titoki tree, a native tree of New Zealand, adorned with cartilage lichens, and many other lichens all growing in one ecosystem.  

It is completely hand made in New Zealand, and made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches and moulded onto glass rods and pins to elevate it from the backing board which creates beautiful shadows. 

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and high grade museum glass.  This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

Measures:  58cm Height x 40cm Width x 5cm Depth.

Framed and ready to be hung on the wall. Each artwork comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
