Fungi of New Zealand 3D Thread Sculpture #20.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of four different species of fungi that are found throughout New Zealand's forests, in particular mixed broadleaf podocarp forests. 

From left:

Entoloma hochstetteri (werewere kokako fungi), Winecap, Entoloma atrellum, Russula.

Each fungi is carefully pinned to perspex rods, lifted into the air to create depth and shadows.  Encased in a clear acrylic box like preserved specimens.

This measures:

Height:  22cm

Width:  22cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
