This piece is my sculpted thread version of some of the incredible fungi found throughout New Zealand's forests.
From top left: Suillus (slippery jack), Trametes versicolor (Turkey-tail), Russula, Laccaria, Mycena - growing out of a clump of moss and dirt, and Ramariopsis pulchella - a beautiful coral fungus (in the centre).
Every fungi I create is meticulously studied and copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.
Each mushroom is carefully pinned to white perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.
This measures:
Height: 32cm
Width: 32cm
Depth: 10cm.
Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
