This piece is my sculpted thread version of some of the incredible fungi found throughout New Zealand's forests.
From left: Leccinum scabrum (birch bolete), Hygrocybe (waxcap), and Suillus granulatus (slippery jack). Two of these fungi are edible, and they can all be found throughout New Zealand.
Every fungi I create is meticulously studied and copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.
Each mushroom is carefully pinned to white perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.
This measures:
Height: 22cm
Width: 38cm
Depth: 10cm.
Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
