Fungi & ferns of New Zealand 3D Thread Sculpture. (commission)

This piece is my sculpted thread version of some of the incredible fungi and native ferns found throughout New Zealand's forests.

From left:  Cortinarius (elegant blue webcap), Mycena growing out of a clump of dirt and moss, Kidney Fern, Werewere kokako fungi, Mahoe leaf skeleton, Native fern leaves surrounded in bark fragments, Kawakawa leaf.  

Every sculpture I create is meticulously studied and copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.
Each is carefully pinned to white perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like preserved specimens.

This measures:

Height:  40cm

Width:  40cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
