Deathcap Fungi 3D Thread Sculpture #10.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of the Amanita phalloides (deathcap) highly toxic, a species throughout New Zealand that is often mistaken as an edible species resulting in mushroom-related deaths.  

Every fungi I create are meticulously copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.

Each mushroom is carefully pinned to perspex rods, lifted into the air to create depth and shadows, encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

The box measures:

Height:  18cm

Width:  12cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
