Bread Trio. 3D Thread Sculptures.

The simple piece of bread. It is a staple diet in many people's kitchens, children's lunchboxes, cafe's, and supermarkets, and comes in so many textures and varieties. 

This artwork portrays a trio of bread sculptures, featuring Vogel's slice, mouldy slice, and white Tiptop slice.  I have tried to include the tiny details such as the seeds, growth of mould, thick crusts, uneven edges, and textured surfaces.

Layer upon layer of tiny stitches make up a delicate network of sculpted thread work and crochet using a large variety of fibres.

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and high grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.
