A walk through the pine forest. 3D Thread Sculpture.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of some of the incredible fungi found throughout New Zealand's forests, in particular pine forests.  

From left:  Tricholoma batschii, pinecone formation, pseudocyphellaria rufovirescens (shield lichen), trametes coccinea (southern cinnabar polypore fungi) on a rotting branchlet. 

Every fungi I create is meticulously studied and copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.
Each mushroom is carefully pinned to white perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
