Huia (female) 3D Thread Sculpture.

This design my sculpted thread version of the majestic Huia of New Zealand.   The stunning Huia is a New Zealand icon, a very special bird species that became extinct in the 20th century.  Their feathers were a prized possession, particularly the tail feathers.  The Maori symbolised them with leadership and mana. A truely phenomenal bird, with an equally lovely song.  This piece is hand made in New Zealand, made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches and sculpted onto pins.

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and museum grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

Measures:  40cm wide  x 58cm height x 4.5cm depth.
