Zebra striped sea anemone 3d thread sculpture.

This unique and perfectly patterned zebra striped sea anemone  (Nemanthus annamensis) is a gorgonian wrapper, commonly seen wrapped around gorgonian sea fans in the Indian Ocean.  I was captivated by its intricate striped patterns and long delicate tentacles.  

Carefully pinned onto perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved museum specimen.
