This Tui embroidered brooch is totally handmade with love.
The Tui is an endemic bird of New Zealand, common in most gardens all over New Zealand and off shore islands. I have tried to capture the bird's incredible iridescent feather colours, and unmistakable white throat tuft and neck plume feathers.
Each brooch is stitched completely by hand, using specialised techniques. Every brooch is a unique design, and I only make one of each bird.
It is light weight, attached with a brooch pin on the back.
Handmade in New Zealand.
