Tui 3D 3D Thread Sculpture.

The Tui is an endemic bird of New Zealand, common in most gardens all over New Zealand and off shore islands.  I have tried to capture the bird's incredible iridescent feather colours, and unmistakable white throat tuft and neck plume feathers. 
It is completely stitched by hand, using specialised techniques. 

Every design is unique, and I only make one of each bird.

It is carefully pinned to perspex, and encased like a museum specimen.

Each design comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
