Red clover 3D Thread Sculpture.

This piece is my sculptural embroidery version of the beautiful red clover flower (fabaceae), surrounded by leaves and grasses.  A beneficial plant that is a fantastic nectar source for bees and butterflies, the leaves are nourishing for stock, and the flowers are used for medicinal uses.

Carefully pinned onto perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like preserved museum specimens.
