NZ bird feathers 3D Thread Sculpture.

These pieces are my sculptural embroidery versions of five species of bird feathers found throughout New Zealand.  Studied from actual feathers I have found from offshore islands I was volunteering at, and from hiking through native forests.   From left:  Tui, Takahe, Western Weka, Kereru, and Sulphur crested cockatoo.  

Made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches and sculpted onto pins.

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and high grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

Measures:  Height: 30cm x Width: 55cm x Depth: 4.5cm.
