Fungi of New Zealand 3D Thread Sculpture #21.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of four different species of fungi that are found throughout New Zealand's forests, in particular mixed broadleaf podocarp forests. 

From left:

Entoloma hochstetteri (werewere kokako fungi),.Mycena (growing out of a clump of moss and dirt), Entoloma psittacinum, Lentinus arcularius (growing on dead wood).

Each mushroom is carefully pinned to perspex rods, lifted into the air to create depth and shadows.  Encased in a clear acrylic box like preserved specimens.

Height:  21cm

Width:  30cm

Depth:  8cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
