Fungi of New Zealand #2 3D Thread Sculpture.

This piece is my sculptural embroidery version of the Leccinum scabrum (birch bolete), Hygrocybe (waxcap), and Suillus granulatus (slippery jack).  Two of these fungi are edible, and they can all be found throughout New Zealand.  

Each fungi is carefully pinned to perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
