This piece is my sculptural embroidery version of the dotted-stalked Suillus fungi or Slippery Jack fungi.  These fungi are edible, and they can all be found throughout New Zealand, particularly in pine forests.  

Each fungi is carefully pinned to perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

This measures:

Height:  28cm

Width:  25cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
