Deathcap Fungi 3D Thread Sculpture #5.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of the Amanita phalloides (deathcap) highly toxic, a species throughout New Zealand that is often mistaken as an edible species resulting in mushroom-related deaths.  

Every fungi I create, are meticulously copied from a real specimen, that has been photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.

Each mushroom is carefully pinned to locally sourced pine wood, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.
The box measures:

Height:  18cm

Width:  12cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
