This sculptural embroidery is hand made in New Zealand.
This was a very special commission piece I made for Bird Rescue in Auckland. It is New Zealand's largest bird rescue centre that takes care of hundreds of injured and sick species and nurses them back to health.
This piece was inspired by a Banded Rail (immature species) that was rehabilitating at the centre.
This is made up of hundreds of tiny stitches, made on a sewing machine, and finished by hand embroidery.
It is framed in a white frame, with high grade glass that offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection and has 99% UV protection from the sun to help protect your embroidery.
Size is: 22 x 22 x 4.5cm depth.
Framed and ready to be hung.
