Southern beech Amanita fungi 3D Thread Sculpture.

This piece is my sculpted thread version of the Amanita nothofagi fungi, commonly known as the southern beech amanita.  These fungi live in association with manuka and southern beech trees throughout New Zealand.. 

Every fungi I create is meticulously copied from a real specimen, that has been studied and photographed by myself from locations all over New Zealand.

Each mushroom is carefully pinned to perspex rods, lifted into the air to create depth and shadows, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

Width:  12cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
