This piece is my sculptural embroidery version of the Amanita karea, highly toxic, with scaly/warty patches on the cap.  This is a species throughout beech forests of New Zealand with a cap diameter of up to 6cm wide.  

Each mushroom is carefully pinned to locally sourced pine wood, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved specimen.

This measures:

Height:  18cm

Width:  12cm

Depth:  10cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.
