Albatross feather 3D Thread Sculpture.

These pieces are my sculptural embroidery versions of our unique Royal Albatross feathers found around the southern coastline of New Zealand.  Studied from actual feathers from the Auckland museum's collection, I formed these feathers based on primary and secondary feathers of these huge birds.  

Made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches and sculpted onto pins.

Professionally framed using a black boxed frame and high grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.
