The Rewarewa tree (Knightia excelsa) is a striking tall forest tree of New Zealand.  These trees once mature can reach heights of 30 metres, and its trunk can measure 1 metre or more in diameter.  The leaves are very tough and leathery, coarsely toothed on the edges.  I love the colours of them in Winter, where I used inspiration for this design.

Professionally framed using a natural oak boxed frame and museum grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

The embroidery is made up of hundreds of tiny crochet stitches, made on a sewing machine, and finished by hand embroidery, mounted onto glass pins.

Size is:  Height:  42cm x Width: 43cm x Depth: 5cm.

Framed and ready to be hung.  Each artwork comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
