The Kina (evechinus chloroticus) is a sea urchin and is endemic to New Zealand.  Traditionally eaten as a favoured food choice of the Maori, they are considered a delicacy in today's society.  I love the shell's varied green, textures. bumps and lump formations and sizes and their incredible patterns.  Also in this sculpture is a common brown seaweed found all over New Zealand (Psilophycus alveatus).

It is completely hand made in New Zealand, and made up of hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches.

Professionally framed using a white boxed frame and high grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.

Measures:  23cm high x 28cm wide x 4.5cm depth.  Framed and ready to be hung.

Each artwork comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
