Designing a 3D petal

After venturing around my lifestyle block, there are so many plants that are so inspiring, not to forget wildflowers and weeds as well!  I decided to do a series of sketches, that formed my next sculptural embroidery based on the humble Arum lily petal.  I loved the lime green tones and the vibrant yellow stamen of this trumpet shaped petal, and this sculpture will be formed into a 3D shape.  If you are interested in taking a peek into my process of stitching and sculpture, please click on the following link: https://youtu.be/YD-xBgQJBA4
