This artwork extends that practice, combining scientific observation with emotional response to reveal the hidden beauty of organisms that are often overlooked. My research has taken me deep into the mossy covered rainforests that are found in New Zealand.\u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eEquipped with my macro lens, I spend hours searching for intriguing lichens that could be my inspiration for my projects. \u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eI also like to study the microscopic structures, understand the geological textures and the symbolic language of layering, growth and co-existence. My hyper-realistic work aims to communicate the story visually, allowing thread to become the narrative rather than simply its illustration.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProfessionally framed using a white boxed frame and museum grade glass. This offers ultimate clarity, with reduced reflection, and has 99% UV protection from the sun.
