Whilst out gardening on a cold windy winters day, I came across masses of these gorgeous rich coloured leaves underneath my Gingko tree. Gingko, or also called the Maidenhair tree, changes its leaves completely in Autumn from lime greens to bright yellows. I was inspired by the leaves delicate and fragile state at the last stages of its lifespan. This sculpture shows the wind burnt edges, yellows, greens, and holes that they commonly get in Autumn.
