These pieces are my sculptural embroidery versions of the beautiful blue/grey hues of the endemic North Island Kokako (blue wattles), and the South Island Kokako (orange wattles) - last seen in the 1960's.  The department of conservation is working very hard to bring these very special birds back from near extinction.  

Carefully pinned onto perspex, and encased in a clear acrylic box like a preserved museum specimens.

This measures:

Height:  60cm

Width:  37cm

Depth:  7cm.

Ready for hanging straight onto the wall. Each piece comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
